Flyer Beware

In this time of economic uncertainty and enormous deficeits in the airline industry... I present to you, the award winning idea from RyanAir : Paying for the use of the aircraft's lavatories!

Is this just plain stupidity or what. RyanAir has already contracted Boeing to retrofit its lavatories to a 'pay-to-use' style. The original idea was to have a coin operated toilet door where the user would have to pay £1 to use the toilet. RyanAir's cheif executive conceded that this original idea was not feasible as most of RyanAir's flyers use the euro as well. On top of that, Boeing couldn't come up with a coin operated toilet door. So they are settling for credit cards. Swipe to poo, is the idea. Amazing stuff man.

RyanAir is a low-cost airline and the world's largest carrier in terms of international passengers. It is also Europe's fastest expanding and most aggressive airline. Its other money-spinning ideas on the drawing board include charging for reading of the safety card, charging for the use of oxygen masks in case of depressurization (mad; swipe and die due to lack of time), and paying for bikini clad crew.

Mad cow or what. This is why, I fly Singapore Airlines.

Percolation, isolation

Just wanted to share this extract from a blog I read...

"They say there is good out there in the world-but why dont i ever see it. The world is hard and cruel and we should accept it. Just ytdy i went to the post office to pay my cousin's phone bill and there was this elderly man about 5 people in front of me in the queue and he was paying his electricity bill- his electricity had apparently been cut and he didnt have enough money to pay his bill. He was 9 dollars short and he started to cry- i mean wtf the 5 ppl in front of me just ignored him and this man with his family told his kids to look away. I was just so pissed and saddened. I walked over to the man payed his bill for him and i'll never forget the hug or the look of gratitude he gave me.

Most of all i'm disappointed. Disappointed at my countrymen. what kind of society has my country become. Heartless, cruel, impatient bastards is what i believe my countrymen are. Even at the bank when i'm taking out my wallet before walking over to the teller the guy behind me pushes and exclaims loudly for me to move( never mind the matter that i can break his face).

Forget Singaporeans- my country has a hell lot of expatriates and foreigners and i believe that they are the worst. Forget the fact that the majority of them are from India and china. What i really hate about them is how they always criticise Singapore and how much better their homeland is and the way look so degrading at anyone else.

Firstly, if your homeland is so much better what the fuck are you doing in my country and secondly they should remember that perhaps they form the elite in their country but in this country they arent the elite and they should learn their place and they should really keep their sniveling sucking up to themselves cause it aint going to work on me nor my mum and especially not my dad. The government should really consider having some kind of Compatibility test to determine if these foreigners will be able to fit into society before allowing them to work or live here.( something like what perhaps Australia has)

i may sound like some elitist arrogant toerag- well if u want to believe so its your problem. I just believe i'm privileged to go to a top school and have my parents trust me to have my own condo but what i cant stand are rude impatient dis-compassionate assholes. Singapore is a society, lets act like members of a society and help one another or perhaps even smile once in a while. I've never felt so ashamed to be Singaporean before."

Looks Ain't The Point Here, Mate

To all dear and cherished readers of the Pebblefort (believe me, we really do cherish you, yes, even the anon legion), this post a addresses an issue that frequently pops up every time we forters meet up and happen to discuss fortly-matters (which really is mostly what we talk about).
As you might or might not have noticed, the current colour scheme of the blog has been changing slightly more regularly than before. The reason, is simply because yours truly here has decided to take it upon himself to try and make up for the lack of any apparent cool skin found here.
You might now be wondering that if so, why not just go somewhere and pick one up and then paste it so we no longer have to watch these epilepsy-inducing colours.
Simple. The consensus among all 5 members of the fort believe that the content of the fort far outweigh superficial graphics often depicting emo bitches.

Hence, until one of us decides to pick up some swanky programming knowledge, or really struck a great deal with Miss Inspiration, the fort shall remain so, with a very simple and plain and basic blogger layout, with various colours for fonts and lines etc.

Size Matters

Alright, this post is really to fulfill my self-imposed, imaginary post quota.
Today, I look into my MSN chatlogs, and look at the size of each log of each of my MSN contacts.
And here goes...
1. Limey with 1873kb
2. Tofu with 1729kb
3. Sanky with 1102kb
4. Mein Kapitan with 941kb
5. Tulip with 729kb
6. Nosey with 378kb
7. J'onn with 375kb
8. Panzerz with 365kb
.
.
.
and the rest are of no more interest.
Of course these are not really accurate, cos some of the really HUGE mass convos somehow did not manage to get saved in, and also there was this period of time where i didn't opt to save my convos... also, if u really want me to factor in my smses... well, Tulip will be ahead of sanky, Mein Kapitan would have dropped substantially and so on...

Thai-phoon

Too lazy to type anything solid, so i'll use these few photos i took in Bangkok do the talkin' (with some help from the captions)

This is the Pratunam Market. Used to be effing crowded. Pretty empty, no thanks to recent events.

Well, this is a newly built building (wasn't there last year when i went). Some shopping mall or office building, yet to visit. MY dad says its parodying King Kong, but i think its just a man clinging on for dear life o.0

Was on the lookout for a rarer side of Thailand, and i saw this right opposite the shop where my dad was buying some jeans for my mom. If only we see S'poreans playing any sports, not just takraw in whatever confined space...we could be so much better in the sporting world

Saw these 2 shirts on display at 2 different locations. Just had to take pictures of them, since i wasn't planning on buying them. There were more designs, but i got shooed by the vendor. LOL.

Just before checking out of the hotel, I happened to peek into the basket, and lo and behold... 2 condoms... Yep, the sex industry is indeed thriving in Thailand.

My Classmate Dad

I have three things I'd like to say today. First, while you were sleeping last night, 30,000 kids died of starvation or diseases related to malnutrition. Second, most of you don't give a shit. What's worse is that you're more upset with the fact that I said shit than the fact that 30,000 kids died last night.
Tony Campolo

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Classmate Dad is the show that my sister was watching on TV while I was eating. Premise is: Boy magically switches bodies with his father. Being a local production, I don't even need to look at it to guess how depthless it is. Incidentally, Warcraft machinima Tales of the Past III disappointed me for the same reason.

So I began wondering how much potential there was actually in that premise, what kind of things the noobs at Okto would never even consider.

A lot, actually.

What might really happen? On the son's side: For one thing, his relationship with his mother is now... well seriously strained. Son gets scared to even hug his mother anymore; what happens if the hug leads into a kiss? Or worse? His mother is going to feel like all the love has gone out of her marriage, like her husband isn't the same person anymore - and he isn't.

What else? Okay, work. Suddenly the son has to work and provide for the family, maintain his job with only secondary school qualifications. His whole life changes - doesn't even sleep in the same bed, when he goes out, he goes out with people he doesn't know. His social circle is comprised of people who are miles ahead of him in everything! Let's not even get started on the responsibilities - someone is taking advantage of your children. Your father can't help (because he's a kid and gets no respect), so you're going to have to stand your ground against someone who is much older than you are. Someone gets sick? YOU bring her to the hospital. And all your old friends - they're your father's friends now. You try to talk to them and they'll just draw away. You can't make friends with them, because obviously a grown man who makes friends with children is a dangerous pedo. That girl you were eyeing from before? Who you thought might have liked you too? Forget it. Romance from now on is limited to your mother.

Dad, on the other hand, finds his new life full of temptations. Should he upstage everyone in class with his university-level knowledge? Suddenly, Dad is the popular nerd. He's mature. It's almost like he's an uni-grad! It's a bit rough fitting in - but as long as you LOOK like a highly intelligent and knowledgeable teenager, people will think you are. This kid can hold his own in a conversation with adults. This is like a whole second chance, an entirely new life! Young again! All that free time! All these young girls around - that's a big temptation right there. Let's say he gives in.

Which leads us to the fascinating destruction of the family.

At first father and son grow closer, due to them having to help each other by fitting into their new lives (You learn work politics, your father relearns Chem and learns leetspeak). They sure as hell understand each other a lot better now. They have to interact a lot more. Maybe the son even does well at the job he is more than ten years too young for. Your father tells you what to do - that's all fine, right? He knows best.

Then one day you leave work early to fetch Dad from school. It's graduation day. You walk into the school gates. The guard reminds you that you're a "visitor", so you have to go get a visitor's pass. The school staff don't recognize you. Tom, Dick, and Harry walk by, telling a joke. You laugh at it. Tom and Dick notice and bid good afternoon to you.

Then they walk quickly away, continuing to chatter.

You see that girl you were really good friends with last time. You want to talk to her, but you can't. That's not the kicker. The kicker is when you see your father, in you, walk up to her and take her in his arms. They are close. Then they disappear behind a pillar and you can't see them any longer.

Yep, your ol' Dad is screwing that girl you had a close relationship with just months ago. While you're stuck with mummy. Oh, and speaking of that relationship? It's going bad. VERY bad.

Your mother has an extra-marital affair and you don't know what to do. How do you preserve the marriage like that? You can't kiss and make up with your mother. Your own MOTHER. You can't. Can you? Can you?

In desperation, you tell her what's been going on. Oh, so you and our son switched bodies? YEAH RIGHT. It's probably work stress (which incidentally you aren't doing too well at), you should rest more. Go on, go take a nap on the sofa while I go to Richard's house behind your back and get fucked by him in the ass.

Oh wait, you still have your trump card! Your own father.

Dad, help me. Help me prove to Mummy that I'm you and you're me. I hate my life. Make it end, let's go back!

Well son... I like being you. Go fuck yourself.

You're the one with the muscles. You pick your father up, in his - your body, and try to shake your stolen childhood out of it. You shake him so hard. So awfully hard, and painful.

Mummy comes in. She sees everything. She takes the kids, piles into a taxi and calls her lawyer.

Divorce time. You don't even know the first thing about legal proceedings. Your mother is now your ex-wife, and you have to fight her for custody of your sister and your treacherous father. Surreal, isn't it?

The case against you: You're acting like an irresponsible teenager at work. You fail at work. You're shit with friends. You're addicted to your own son's computer games. You keep calling your wife "Mummy". Fuck, you got rough with your own son. You're like an immature teenager in a man's body! And you are, they roar at you. YOU ARE!

Your father goes up to testify: Oh god, you've been stalking your son's girlfriend too? We can't have pedophiles in polite society, and definitely not beating up your bright son, who is showing such great potential at school! That's the last straw! Burn in hell with the faggots! Or more precisely, in a counselling room while Mummy and Richard take their smart kids to their new life.

You're living off government obligations in a 2-room flat. Give him a bit of time, your counsellor says. It'll all come back to him and he can return to work. But it doesn't. Nothing ever comes back to you.

Meanwhile your father is a prodigy. Knowing full well the importance of youth, he studies hard - it's a cakewalk compared to his old job. High qualifications on the way. Smart and mature friends and girlfriends. Bright, no, shining future.

And one night, your father brings his new girlfriend to his new home. Richard and Mary aren't around... or so he thinks. She appears suddenly, but instead of rebuking him for bringing girls home, she just smiles and gives him a knowing wink. Does your father ever feel guilty?

Mary whispers, "She seems nice. Just make sure that it's the right person before you commit to anything."

Yes. Yes indeed.

Tiger Lily

The O level examinations ends this week and soon later, all of us will go our seperate ways where academia is concerned. Sure, what we thinking? Lets get real drunk and have fun with our friend's friends.

There is two people I hate the most now.

Its TaiYoung and Astray.
Hell do you two make my life difficult.
Bitch.
Regrets are addictions as I pointed it out before.
Trivia
- Top Song on my iPod : Tiger Lily by Matchbook Romance

Reviewed couple of new albums thoroughly through the weekend. Amongst my favourites was Jack's Mannequin's The Glass Passenger which was released in September this year. Piano rock that doesn't have Keane's sometimes irritating voice.

Something to remember 2008 by. Its the year of the blacks! Obama won the US Presidential Campaign and became the first black president in US (racism tainted) history. And Lewis Hamilton drove from the bedrooms of the swiss alps with ladies to the race tracks in Brazil with his F1 car. Gotta love blacks, how Martin Luthur King Jr would be so proud of 2008. When are we going to get a black chinese premier?

The Idiot Box

Damn I hate the TV. Out of boredom I browsed through the free-to-air channels and found nothing interesting on local television.

I believe there is conclusive evidence that the TV damages your brain and makes you a lot less intellectual. Especially with the kinda stuff they are showing on tv.

Seriously, can't we get some good programmes on this stupid asshole of a box. I've never been so angry from watching stupid local programmes. All vetted by the MDA.

On a side note. America votes tomorrow. We'll see if race really plays a part in deciding America's president. My say is, yes. John McCain gets my pick.
The last time someone voted an unorthodox president iinto office in the shape of JFK, he got his ass shot off his car in Dallas, Texas.
PrObama? not me.

Armageddon

I really shouldn't have watched this movie, nor should I be here typing this post, for I should be studying for Social Studies if I really want to get a A1 for my Combined Humanities.
But since I have watched the movie, which was shown on TV yesterday, its too late for regrets now.

As I watched the "Freedom" and "Independence" take off into space, my childhood dream came back to me. What dream? Being an astronaut of course. After all, breaking free of Earth's tight grip on us has to be the most extreme form of flight you can ever imagine, right? Imagine going on the wildest, most hair-raising roller coaster ride you have been on and multiply it by ten, and even then, it might not even be enough to grasp the G forces acting on you. I'm no physicist, nor do I take physics, but I do know that those G forces will undeniably give you one heck of a ride.
DAMN! I wish it was me up there.
But wait. Oh shit.. I don't think my heart can make it... Damn.
And being paranoid me, I think I would be scared shitless when faced with the many perils of space travel.
And damn... what if it explodes? Oh crap.

But please, this movie is really nice, so don't let me change your fantasies about space or the movie. Just take this post with a pinch of salt, pepper, sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Oh, I am aware its an old movie, so yea... I love old stuff.

Give me back my gun

Pessimism and optimism has always been at the heart of the psychologist's pursuit of understanding the human mind. The common question has always been, "is the glass half empty or half full". Most of us now cannot relate to this glass question until placed into a particularly different situation from what we are used to having.

I'd say pessimism and optimism differs not according to a person, but to a situation. So we can never really actually be pessimist or optimist. I've never seen a clown laugh when his mum got knocked down by a car. Like really? How can anyone be so one sided? PanZerZ used to say it all depends on whether you are thirsty or not. Paradoxical. Oh so true. We are never really optimist or pessimist. The question then to ask is, are you thirsty or not?

The best you ever had;

A Maths O levels are starting at 2.30pm later today, and here I am playing games and slacking.

Been listening to a lot of Arctic Monkeys, and you know what? They rock xD They've got innuendo in their songs! (;

Lyrics to Fluorescent Adolescent :
You used to get it in your fishnets
Now you only get it in your night dress
Discarded all the naughty nights for niceness
Landed in a very common crisis
Everything's in order in a black hole
Nothing seems as pretty as the past though
That Bloody Mary's lacking a Tabasco
Remember when he used to be a rascal?

Oh that boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
Not as daft as they seem
Not as daft as they seem
My love when you dream them up...

Flicking through a little book of sex tips
Remember when the boys were all electric?
Now when she tells she's gonna get it
I'm guessing that she'd rather just forget it
Clinging to not getting sentimental
Said she wasn't going but she went still
Likes her gentlemen to not be gentle
Was it a Mecca Dobber or a betting pencil?

Oh that boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
Weren't as daft as they seem
Not as daft as they seem
My love when you dream them up
Oh, where did you go?
Where did you go?
Where did you go? Woah.

Falling about
You took a left off Last Laugh Lane
You just sounded it out
You're not coming back again.

Falling about
You took a left off Last Laugh Lane
You just sounded it out
You're not coming back again.

You used to get it in your fishnets
Now you only get it in your night dress
Started all the naughty nights with niceness
Landed in a very common crisis
Everything's in order in a black hole
Everything was pretty in the past though
That Bloody Mary's lacking in tabasco
Remember when he used to be a rascal?

So maybe I should be studying for A Maths, but to me studying just before an exam doesn't work. Yeah, cram everything in your head, only to lose it all in the heat of the exam. So I'm playing games at www.kongregate.com! xD Fun stuff mind you. Call me gay, but hey it helps you relax, until you start losing at Bloons Defense 3. Then it starts to suck.

Ok now me go play some more =D

Just anything, anything, will make me happy
Don't you know that?

Happy Birthday TOFU

There was even going to be a party for you. A big party that all your friends were invited to. I invited your best friend the companion cube. Of course, he couldn't come because you murdered him. All your other friends couldn't come either because you don't have any other friends. Because of how unlikable you are. It says so here in your personnel file: Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter, unlikable loner whose passing shall not be mourned. 'Shall not be mourned.' That's exactly what it says. Very formal. Very official. It also says you were adopted. So that's funny, too.

Tonight tonight

The rain and the dark. Indeed a brilliant combination. The park outside my house has its lamps off. So its exceptionally dark. And the sound of the rain on the floor; nostalgia. The only downside is the influx of flies that run around my room because its the only light around here for miles. Jeez. otherwise it would have been perfect.

Reminds me of you.

Random Shit Vol. 1 + TF2 pics

No questions? Okie dokie.

This is the download link for Random Shit Volume 1. Keep in mind that there are a few animated GIFs to discover, and these pics are from my early days, back when the folder was really filled with Random Shit, not funny crap. I think at least one (very tame, granted) depiction of two girls kissing went in there. Also a few chicks, though I assure you I have a completely different folder for porn (softcore and hardcore).

The essential guide to staying fat and healthy

Now lets see...

how do you then saty fat and healthy at the same time?

I don't know about you, but I think kids these days are getting bigger, and fatter if I might add. Is Macdonalds (America's imperialist arm) to be blamed for this influx of heavily oversized kids? There seems to be no limit for horizontal growth I see.

This must be all America's fault! Exterminate the Imperialist I say. Its a consipracy to take over our genes and import Macdonalds to every corner of the Earth. I hate macdonalds.

GunZ, GunZ, GunZ - A (Relatively) Quick History (part 1)

A still from one of the clanwars recorded for Terminal Velocity.

I found GunZ on the advice of someone from primary school. It hooked me. The nonlinear gameplay, the SMG spamming... then I found the Forums, and I really got into things.

GunZ has a pretty gay history. Developed for Japanese and Korean gamers at first before an international version was made available. It's main allure lies in the open-ended gameplay: how, armed with nothing but a blade, you can fling people into the air, run and jump off walls Matrix-style (firing your guns all the while), scale the most tall walls in mere seconds; you can virtually fly anywhere that isn't blocked by a wall or the height limit. You can have epic air battles off a wall, over a bottomless pit, on a traditional arena; spinning crazily over heads, reloading without touching the ground, circlestrafing+defending+slashing virtually at the same time if you want.

The real uniqueness comes from the fact that most of this good stuff comes from glitches and exploits in the game engine. Other games have had similar kinds of emergent gameplay: one example off the top of my head is the Rocket/Grenade Jump from Quake, which has found its way into Team Fortress Classic and the acclaimed Team Fortress 2. But unlike TF2's polished and promoted rocket jump, GunZ's impressive line of wall scaling techniques develop among with every other unofficial move and exploit. Many games today evolve off patches. GunZ evolves off the community.

But like any other game aimed at children, the community is bad. Veri bad. When I joined the official forums under "Nosedigger" with a cute lightning avatar, people were already bickering over some move or another they supposedly found, or what "style" of playing is best, and you even have people who maintain that the new "K-Style"(Korean Style, named after the people who discovered the useful glitches) is cheating. It was messy back then, and the lack of consistent moderation didn't help. Eventually some disgruntled amateur hacker took over the admin accounts, prompting a shutdown of the official forums and a move of all GunZ fans who cared to GunZFactor.com.

With a better mod team, GunZ players had a bit more space to make headway with the untapped potential of the game engine's loopholes. No longer was there much discussion on whether K-Style was legit: in 2005 an officially-produced trailer displayed players swarming like flies around the battlefield and turning shotguns into semi-automatic weapons(a discovery that made close range combat a peril for anyone who didn't have dual shotguns). Thus far, most of the new glitches gave sword users more capabilities to fart around with. But in GZF, the neglected possibilities of the dagger were also unlocked; whereas swords offered extreme close-range strength, D-Style relied on its ability to cut corners faster and change directions whenever they wanted.

Young artists also saw a little golden age: Both fan art and fan fiction picked up, with a role-playing thread that continues to this day. In the machinima section pioneers _Zephyre_ and DarkRadiance released acclaimed shorts that took advantage of GunZ's freecam in replay mode. The last few years saw an explosion in frag movies - pressure was put upon giving each frag movie an artistic streak, with moviemakers like MiyaDV, Cysote, and Divine Rose treading the line between narcissism and art. A compilation can be found here.

As the North American version of GunZ attracted more westerners to the malleability of the game, GunZ grew still further. Last year Clan Wars were introduced; tight-knit clans came into prominence and a new list of celebrities came into the GunZ society. We had Cerb3rus, the elite gladiator who found how to juggle and kill someone in the air without letting them touch the ground once, AryaVarwin, an alpha female who became known as one of the top players, we had toktok, we had screwy, GilGilGil, ShadowSkullz. The dagger community in particular, expanded: one of the very first successful dagger-only clans headed by D-Style celebrity Slap made waves in the community when clan Pokable held its own against more prestigious clans. Cysote shot to fame with his Do Dagger movies and attracted attention for his all- styles clan, -Do-. Guides on each play style became more detailed as new moves were added to the list: Extended Lunge shot a dagger user forward at high speed, skyblocking to defend against reverse massives became popular, etc.

And then GunZ began to dwindle.

To be continued.

Random - XKCD,

This is the first of my weekly dosage of random. Nice cock. Nice cock. Nice cock.

I feel like talking about my day before anything else, ADD-saturated whore I am. English Oral (conversation) was okay for me. Which is bad. Oral should be GORRAMFRAKKING PRO, not "okay". They asked me about my favourite hairstyle, of all things. After a quick few sentences on the practicality of baldness, I began talking about why the fuck hairstyles are important at all. Then they asked me about CCTVs and cams in public places, and I basically went rehashing the same point continually; by the time I found myself again it was too fucking late.

But fuck that! On to the randomness.

I want to introduce you to a neat little webcomic called XKCD. It's written by an intellectual, but more importantly, he's pro at random and his serious ones are nice too. So! A few samples (quick load times, no worries):

The infamous picture that sparked all the GB2Kitchen jokes:

Next week I'll organize by theme. A random image will also serve as my epigraph from now on.
